Why Choose an Independent Settlement Company:
In choosing your settlement company, look for the following:
- A company that places the client’s interest first without guaranteed contracts through affiliated business relationships;
- A company that requires a high standard of competency from its employees, including licensing and continuing education;
- A company that uses up-to-date, industry-preferred software and that adheres to ALTA Best Practices to protect your personal information.
At LCT, the Client Comes First:
Loudoun Commercial Title, L.L.C. is a strictly independent settlement company. We do not participate in any “Controlled Business Arrangements” or “Affiliated Business Arrangements.” These are arrangements in which a homebuilder, real estate brokerage company, or a lending institution will have an ownership position in a settlement company and share in the profits of the company, in exchange for routing all its business to that company. We believe our status as an independent settlement company furthers our goal of providing the best services possible to our customers.
LCT Requires High Employee Standards:
At Loudoun Commercial Title, L.L.C., we require employee adherence to ALTA Best Practices for competency, licensing, and continuing education. All of our employees are licensed title agents who surpass industry requirements for continuing education. All employees are also educated in our Best Practices policies for handling non-public private information.
LCT Protects Your Privacy:
Loudoun Commercial Title, L.L.C. uses state-of-the-art and up-to-date Title Express software for settlement and underwriting purposes. We employ an independent IT Provider to maintain compliance with ALTA Best Practices for protecting your personal information both on our servers and in transmitting closing information. In accordance with our Best Practices, our IT Provider maintains our firewalls, backs up our data daily, maintains the most current tools to ensure a safe environment for your information, and performs semi-annual audits of our security measures.
