Vice President
John has been with Loudoun Commercial Title since its founding in February 2004 and became Vice President in 2022. Licensed as a title insurance and settlement agent in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, he serves as Treasurer of the Virginia Land Title Association (VLTA) Board of Directors, Chair of the Examiner Publication Committee, and Editor in Chief of the VLTA Examiner Magazine. His experience includes complex commercial real estate transactions, title examination, transaction due diligence, title insurance, and settlement services involving a broad range of property types, ownership structures, and deal formats, with a primary focus on commercial real estate transactions in Virginia.
Active in the VLTA, John has served in numerous leadership roles and continues to contribute to the advancement of the title industry through professional education, publishing, and association leadership. He was instrumental in the formation of the VLTA Governance Taskforce and played a leading role in the comprehensive review and modernization of the Association’s governing documents, including its bylaws and articles of incorporation. The project ultimately included review and recommendations by outside legal counsel.
John holds VLTA’s Virginia Certified Title Examiner (VCTE) and Virginia Certified Title Settlement Agent (VCTSA) certifications, as well as the American Land Title Association’s National Title Professional (NTP) designation.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with University Honors in Political Science and a minor in International Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003. John is also a Marine Corps veteran.
Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his family and Lewis, his Morkie puppy, as well as fishing, camping, and recreational shooting. He is a lifelong student of economic theory, current events, and the history of classical Western civilization, with a particular interest in Rome from its founding through the fall of the Republic.
